Secretaries of State Associations of Bharat Scouts and Guides at Bangalore on
27^th - 28^th June 2009 at Dr. Annie Besant Park, Dodballapur, Bangalore Rural District.

Sir,

I am to inform you that a conference of State Chief Commissioners, State Commissioners ( Scout) / ( Guide), and State Secretaries of State Associations of Bharat Scouts and Guides ,India has been scheduled to be held at Dr. Annie Besant Park Bharat Scouts and Guides Training and Camping Centre, Dodballapur , Bangalore Rural District on 27^th and 28^th , June 2009 . His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka and President, Bharat Scouts and Guides has very kindly consented to inaugurate the conference on 27^th June 2009 at 11.30 AM.

You are requested kindly to make it convenient to attend the conference on the dates mentioned above along with your State Commissioner (Scout), State Commissioner (Guide) and the State Secretary. Please ensure that your delegation arrives at the venue latest by 1000 Hrs on 27^th June, 2009.

The Karnataka State Association of Bharat Scouts and Guides will host the conference and will provide Accommodation and Hospitality to all participants during the conference. However, traveling expenses as per rules of Bharat Scouts and Guides will be reimbursed by the National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts and Guides on submitting bill for traveling expenses .

The conference will focus on issues relating to review of annual numerical growth in census, updates on activities and programmes so far undertaken or proposed to be under taken by States for celebration of 100 years of scouting in India, qualitative improvement in scouting with reference to the youth programmes, adult leaders’ programme, reaching out, management, finance and visibility etc. A detailed day wise programme along with agenda points and agenda notes will follow soon.

In the meanwhile, I request you to confirm your participation mentioning the names of participant and travel itinerary etc at your earliest, under intimation to the State Chief Commissioner/State Secretary, Karnataka State Bharat Scouts and Guides. Their names and contact number are given below. Since State Chief Commissioner, Karnataka State may be out of Country upto June 20, 2009 the intimation about your participation be sent to Mr. M.A. Khalid the State Secretary, Karnataka State, with a copy to the State Chief Commissioner, Karnataka State.
