Subject:  10th WORLD SCOUT YOUTH FORUM, WONKWANG UNIVERSITY, IKSAN, KOREA.

 

Madam/Sir,

 

            I am to inform you that the Korea Scout Association will host the next 10TH World Scout Youth Forum, from 7th July to 10th July 2008at Wonkwang University, Iksan, Republic of Korea. You are requested to recommend names of willing candidates for this Forum as Delegates and Observers. 

 

            In this connection the followings details may please be noted: -

Accommodation

:

The 10th World Scout Youth Forum will be held in the comfortable and modern facilities of Soongsan Memorial Building within the University, with other useful facilities such as observatory deck, seminar rooms, dining halls, coffee breaks and exhibitions.

 

Forum fee

:

The Forum fee for delegates and observers attending only the Forum will be 190 Euros =(Rs. 11,051) and for those attending both the 34th World Conference and World Scout Youth Forum will be 425 Euro = (Rs.24,727).The fee for the World Scout Youth Forum includes full board and lodging, i.e. accommodation in twin bedrooms and all meals.

 

Accompanying Person

:

 The host committee is organizing a special programme during the Forum for persons accompanying delegates and observers.

 

Pre and Post Conference Tour

:

The Host Committee is planning to organize a special touring programme from 11th to 13th July 2008 for those young adults participating in the World Scout Youth Forum and in the World Scout Conference, to enable them to stay in Korea at no cost.

This inter-event programme will be organized only for those young adults who will participate in both Conference and Forum and will have registered in advance for both events.

 

Getting to Iksan

:

The Host Committee will welcome Youth Forum participants upon arrival at the Incheon International Airport and provide transport to Iksan, as well as transport from Iksan to the airport at the end of the Forum, or to the World Scout Conference hotels at the end of the inter-event programme for those who will participate in the Conference.

Incheon International Airport is located at 3 hrs. by bus from Iksan, the point of entry for many international flights. There is a bus service from Airport to Iksan.

             The youth candidates below 26 years have the golden opportunity to attend the 10th World Scout Youth Forum and also the 34th World Scout Conference. Hence the candidates desirous of attending both events should mention so, on the top of their Registration form, enclosed with this Circular.
