Subject: 38^th World Scout Conference, Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, 2008.- Invitation there of .

Madam/Sir,

I am to inform you that the Korea Scout Association will host the World Scout Conference from 14^th – 18^th July 2008 at Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. Nominations are invited for participation as Delegates or Observer in this Conference.

Accommodation

:

Accommodation for participants is being offered in three categories of hotels at reasonable distance from the Conference Centre. There are a good number of rooms available in each category, and the rates obtained by the Host Committee are as under:

Conference fee

:

a) A Delegate or an Observer above 26 year old: Euros 435= (Rs.25,279)

b) A Delegate or an Observer Below 26 years old:Euros400=(Rs. 23244)

attending the World Scout Conference only.

c) A Delegate or an Observer below 26 years old:Euros 425=(Rs. 24697)

attending the World Scout Conference and the World Scout Youth Forum. Both (A separate circular for World Youth Forum follows).

The Conference fee for delegates and observers covers conference facilities, all official documentation, lunches from Monday to Friday, Coffee breaks, opening dinner and farewell banquet, social activities and special events organized by Korean hosts, as well as transport from Jeju International Airport to the hotels and back, to programme events, and to and from the Conference Centre.

Accompanying Person

:

The host committee is organizing a special programme during the Conference for persons accompanying delegates and observers. The fee chargeable from accompanying person shall be communicated later on.

The programme will give the participants the opportunity to discover Jeju Island and Korean culture, history and traditions.

Pre and Post Conference Tour

:

In addition, the Host Committee will propose tourist programmes for pre and host conference tours.

Getting to Jeju Island

:

Participants flying to Jeju Island through Seoul will be assisted for the transfer between the Seoul Incheon International Airport and Seoul Gimpo International Airport from where most of the flights for Jeju International Airport Depart.

You are requested kindly to recommend the names of willing candidates who wish to participate in this International event. The number of maximum Delegate would be Six while the number of Observer may be more.

Please send the Registration Form enclosed with this circular duly filled and also caution money amounting to Rs. 3000.00 in the shape of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, The Bharat Scouts & Guides, latest by 1^st June 2008.
