Sub:-   11th World Youth Forum – Selection of Rovers under “Operation one World”.

Ref.:-  NHQ Circular No. 41/2010 dated 06.04.2010.

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

            We are glad to inform you that the Asia Pacific Regional office of WOSM will select one youth representative from Asia Pacific Region to participate in the 11th World Scout Youth Forum as representative of Bharat Scouts & Guides/Asia Pacific Region.  The selected Rover will get sponsorship for Air Ticket from New Delhi to Curitba (Brazil) and back under Operation One World.

 

            The selected candidate will have to bear the cost of Registration fee for Youth Forum and Conference the estimated cost will be about USD 800 (Rs. 40,000 Approx.).  The Selected candidate will have to participate in both 11th World Scout Youth Forum and 13th World Scout Conference.   The details of Youth Forum is given in our Circular No. 41/2010 dated 06.04.2010.

 

            The eligibility criteria for selection of candidate are as under:-

 

  1. Must be aged between 18 and 26 years old (born between 1 January 1985 and 31 December 1993).
  2. Must attend the 11th World Scout Youth Forum as delegate and must also be able to join the 39th World Scout Conference after the Youth Forum.  Therefore, he must be able to stay in Brazil from 2-14 January, 2011.
  3. Experience in decision making at the institutional level.
  4. Knowledge of current issues under consideration at World level of the World Organization of the Scout Movement,
  5. Some experience in or knowledge of conference participation, development techniques of recommendations, and decision-making processes,
  6. Some experience in representation of young people, and
  7. Relevant experience to contribute to the programme aspects of the World Scout Youth Forum.

 

The Preliminary Selection of candidates will be conducted by the National Headquarters.  The final selection will be conducted by APR Programme Sub- Committee.   The last date for submitting  the applications with details in the enclosed performa to National Headquarters with caution money of Rs. 3,000/- is 15th August, 2010.
